New Delhi, Mar. 30 : Ousted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan on Monday said that the party’s did not invite former chief of naval staff Admiral (retired) Laxminarayan Ramdas for national executive was because that he would have been a very ‘independent’ person to report what actually happened inside.

“He went to Bombay to attend the meeting as he has been invited on all earlier occasions, he didn’t allow him to be there because he would have been a very independent person to have reported what actually happened inside,” Bhushan said.

The AAP had earlier on Sunday released a 45-minute video of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s impassioned speech, a day after the removal of senior leaders Prashant Bhushan, Yogendra Yadav, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha from the National Executive.

In the speech, Kejriwal says “he was betrayed” and “knifed in the back”, and ends with an appeal to the council to choose between them and him.

Meanwhile, the supporters of Yadav and Bhushan have reportedly alleged that the video was clearly edited.
