New Delhi, March 30: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) dispatched two teams from Bathinda base to the flood ravaged Kashmir Valley and put four teams on stand-by for swift response, an official said here on Monday.
Each NDRF team has a strength of 45 personnel and currently 95 personnel are on location in the valley as part of the two NDRF teams.
“We have readied four NDRF teams from Ghaziabad and Gujarat consisting of 180 personnel to reach Kashmir when needed,” said Anil Shekhawat, media Coordinator of NDRF.
“No rain since last night, no deterioration of existing conditions. We are monitoring the situation,” added Shekhawat.
Four days of incessant rainfall threw normal life out of gear and flooded many towns and villages in the Kashmir Valley.
